An argentine by origin, Angel Cabrera is one of the most accomplished golfers around. He is very well known to have played spectacularly in both the PGA tour and the European Tour.
Back in 2007, he won the US Open, and two years later in 2009, he clinched the Masters, making him a major two-time champion in the world of golf. And not only this, he is the first argentine to have won both the tournaments.
It is surprising when people find out that he started playing golf by being a caddy at golf courses. He had no professional training in his initial years, and he learnt all his golfing moves by playing against the other caddies at the golf course for money. He became a professional golfer at the age of twenty, and there has been no looking back since then. And he is quite eccentric too, as he is known for smoking at every hole while he plays.
Angel Cabrera was in the news recently when he stated that he did indeed think that it was actually possible to go to sixty or lower, after he had birdied at the 15th hole and reached to an eight-under for that round. But unfortunately, Cabrera was able to play the three final holes at a 1-over, and after that he finished his round with a 7-under sixty three, which tied him at the spot on the ninth position. According to him, he did leave out a few spots near the end, but then overall, he did alright he thinks.
Angel Cabrera has won three of the most coveted championships among the major ones, but has not been so fortunate in terms of other PGA Tour events. He bogeyed the seventeenth, and also at the sixteen and eighteen, he missed the birdie opportunities.
